Launched in 2024, the Space Park Theatrical Arts Club (SPTAC) brings Northrop Grumman employees together who are interested in the theatrical arts. Theater is a collaborate art form which combines words, voice, movement and visual elements to express meaning. Members of the Space Park Theatrical Arts Club (SPTAC) will have access to several shows each year via group buys to professional and community theater with an emphasis on musicals. Members will also have the opportunity to get involved in the annual summer musical at the Armstrong Theater in Torrance produced by The Aerospace Players either onstage (requires an audition) or behind the scenes on the technical team (backstage, sets, props, costumes) or general support of the production. If you are a musician, there would also be an opportunity to join the live orchestra (audition required).
The SPTAC provides employees, their friends, and their families, a chance to socialize, network and meet others in a friendly and fun setting while supporting and enjoying live theater in our community. It also provides employees the opportunity to enhance their leadership and organizational skills by gaining hands-on technical experience in an actual production of a musical. It also affords those employees with acting, singing and/or musical talent the opportunity to perform.
